Overview

Mentor to Teen Girls 

 

Pay $17.00/hr

Full-time days 6am to 6pm

Full-time overnights  6pm to 6am

 

Sunday through Tuesday and every other Wednesday

Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday

Responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled and empathetic Behavioral Health Assistants that wants to make a difference and be part of an amazing and growing team offering guidance and support to adolescents and their families. 

  • Walking students through their day-to-day activities
  • Ensuring alignment with their treatment plan that our therapists create for them
  • Relaying any pertinent information over to the treatment team
  • Consistent and thorough documentation and reporting
  • Crisis prevention and management
  • Maintaining a safe environment for clients
  • Participate in staff bonding and house bonding activities
  • Daily light housekeeping; sweeping, cleaning up/putting things away, dishes, etc.
  • Enforcing a positive environment and being a role model

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work or related field preferred, but not required
  • 21+ years of age or older
  • Able to pass pre-employment drug screen
  • Able to pass criminal investigation background check
  • Ability to effectively communicate and build healthy relationships.

Physical Requirements

  1. Sitting/standing – employee may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  2. Walking – employee may be required to walk considerable distance during the workday
  3. Carrying – employee may be required to carry objects in his or her arms and must have full mobility of arms to perform Safe Crisis Management (SCM)
  4. Lifting – employee may be required to raise and lower students from one level to another during the shift and must be able to lift 45 lbs. to perform SCM
  5. Stooping and crouching – employee is required to bend forward at the waist and/or kneel to perform SCM
  6. Climbing stairs – employee must be able to climb stairs
