Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year depending on experience (PLPC, PLMFT, LMSW)

 

Schedule: You choose! Work four 10 - hour days onsite or work from home one day a week with four days onsite.

As a Mental Health Therapist at Calo Programs, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated team to support client progress, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide individual, group, and family therapy. By utilizing relational, systemic, and experiential modalities, you’ll help clients process their emotions, strengthen relationships, and build effective coping strategies. Plus, you'll have the unique opportunity to work with over 40 Golden Retrievers in our canine therapy program, enriching your therapeutic approach.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Individual, Family, and Group Therapy: Conduct therapy sessions that integrate trauma-informed care and systemic approaches to create meaningful change in families.
  • Personalized Caseloads: Manage a focused caseload of 8-9 clients, providing high-quality, individualized care with a commitment to family programming and parent coaching.
  • Collaborate in Integrated Care: Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of therapists, medical providers, and nurses to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans in a holistic, integrated environment.
  • Timely Documentation: Complete accurate and thorough clinical documentation within required timeframes, ensuring compliance and continuity of care for clients.
  • Utilize Specialized Therapy Modalities: Leverage Adventure Therapy (camping, hiking, rappelling), Animal-Assisted Therapy, and experiential approaches to enhance student growth and healing.
  • Cultural Competency and Adolescent Development: Apply developmentally appropriate and culturally competent care, addressing the unique psychological needs of adolescents and teens.
  • Focus on Professional Growth: Gain access to continuing education opportunities, training in modalities like Brainspotting, Theraplay, and attachment-focused interventions, and attendance at leading industry conferences.

Qualifications

  • Provisional Licenses: PLPC (Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor), PLMFT (Provisional Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) & LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker). Supervision provided! 
  • Strong clinical skills with a commitment to evidence-based practices
  • Passion for counseling teens and young adults struggling with mental health issues
  • Ability to incorporate clinical diagnostic and assessment instruments to monitor client progress and treatment outcomes
  • Experience in residential settings and relational, experiential, and systemic modalities preferred
